Play Directing in the School: A Drama Director's Survival Guide Review

I bought this book the minute I read "The 7 Myths about Musicals. Myth #1: Musicals are fun." (He goes on the qualify that they are fun to watch and be in, but hard hard hard to direct.) I knew then I had found a kindred spirit, someone who loved theater with all his soul but wasn't sugar-coating all of the pettyness and brouhaha that accompany running a program in a high school. This guy is straight forward, no nonsense, and he believes that high school theater directors are real directors and should behave and be treated as such. His advice is smart, sharp, and on the mark. He includes very useful chapters on how to run and maintain a theater program and how to select plays. It is above and beyond better than any other "how to direct a high school play" book. Buy it, then tell all the theater teachers you know to buy it. This is the real thing.

Kaplan SAT Math Workbook Review

Kaplan SAT Math Workbook

This book consists of 100 important things or remember for the SAT I Math. I was surprised how informative this book is.
I am an SAT Math I tutor, and not only did this book help me to review what I know, but also gave me the idea to plan to teach well. Each section provides certain parts to review and comes with example questions, from easy, medium, to hard questions. This is great, since the SAT I math questions are listed from easy to hard questions in each section, so the students must be prepared for easy questions to hard questions on each topic. In the back of the book, there is a list of all of 100 important topics covered in the entire book. After you finish the sections with sample questions on each topic, it would be a smart idea to copy that section and carry it around to memorize. There are also 2 practice tests at the end.
Some people has said that Kaplan is the easiest kind of review book out there. While I can't tell whether this is true or not, this book certainly covers all of what you need to know for the SAT I Math. There is no reason for this book to give hard questions. There are other books for that. This book really isn't for you to get the questions and answer them. You probably want to grab a College Board Practice Test books, or something of that sort. This book provides INFORMATION and DESCRIPTIVE explanations to questions and answers, which you absolutely need for the SAT I.
Along with this book, I use The New Math SAT Game Plan by Philip Keller, which is another excellent book to review SAT I Math. This book covers the important math topics, while The New Math SAT Game Plan covers "PLANNING" for SAT I Math and "HOW" to take the SAT I Math. I recommend both!Also- for the reviewer who posted about the seller... Please, realize what you're reviewing first. In the book review section, please only review the book. You can review the seller in the seller review section.

Barron's SAT Subject Test in Physics Review

Barron's SAT Subject Test in Physics

I'll put it out now - I ranked top 5% for the NJ science league for physics I . I've had many experiences with questions aimed at really testing your knowledge, and some of these questions do that. But some of them do it too much, to an extent where the question covers information NOT even in the information they cover in their chapter review sections. Worse, there are many glaring errors, both in their review, in their tests/questions, and their reasoning for their questions. Their questions, like i said, aim to test you, but often it only comes off as confusingly worded. Sometimes, the answer they find uses numbers different than initially stated (one question used 125m/s, but the answer worked off 100m/s.).
To be honest, the only thing going for this book is its name - barrons, without a doubt, is tough. But too tough, even for the writers of the book. If physics is not a strong subject for you, then find another book. You will most likely find it easier to follow
